About
Redlands Dog Obedience Club is a not-for-profit organisation located in Birkdale, QLD.
Run entirely by local volunteers, our main focus is promoting the love and well-being of dogs while supporting their owners.
Our vision is to be an inclusive, supportive and progressive club, ensuring confident dogs and competent owners through high-quality programs.
Here’s what we offer:
- Wednesday evening Obedience Training: We provide training for both pet companion dogs and for those interested in taking their dog towards competitive obedience.
- Thursday Agility: If you’re looking for some skilled and active training, we’ve got agility classes, from foundations through to competitions.
- Dances with Dogs: For those who want to explore creative and choreographed routines with their furry friends.
- Tricks: Learn fun tricks to impress your dog-loving friends and compete!
- Monday Scent Work: Scent work is a popular dog sport where they are trained to seek out particular odours and compete in trials. We only have one intake each year for this sport. Members are invited to apply and are assessed for a spot in these classes.
While we’re not professional dog trainers, we do our best to assist owners with training issues. If we can’t help, we’ll direct you to seek professional support.
Additionally, we organise regular Dog Sport competitions in association with Dogs Queensland as an Affiliated Club, drawing competitors from across South East Queensland and beyond.
We operate as a not-for-profit incorporated Association under the following Constitution. Link below:
